Chapter 1: Chase in Rio
We made it to Rio de Janeiro, the city of dreams and magic and made it just in time for Carnival, too!
Right now, we're flying over Carnival and it was huge and amazing to see!
If you said that Carnival was the biggest party in the world, you were right, it is the biggest.
The boys were flying on one side and I was at the other, enjoying the view of Carnival and probably the first owls ever to go to Brazil and see Carnival.
Suddenly, I saw something in the air, maybe just a parrot, probably the parrot we talked to earlier.
But the object was coming to us and next thing I knew, something had grabbed me!
Dresfer was maniacally laughing with Rloaf, who had caught my friends.
"Let's go, Rloaf! " yelled Dresfer. "We'll be paid in gold if we get these owls out alive!"
I slipped out of Dresfer's wings, tried to free the boys but my thoughts were interrupted by the slam of Dresfer's wing slamming my wing. It hurt but I could still fly.
The boys were fighting Rloaf and I got chased by Dresfer.
He chased me in alleys, over people's houses, never giving up hope to chase me.
I wondered how the boys were doing, fighting Rloaf. They probably have beaten Rloaf by now. It's three versus one, plus Rloaf's stupid.
Dresfer was gaining speed by the minute and was only a few feet behind me and soon I would been a prisoner again.
But he was speed and I was cunning. We both have a fifty-fifty chance: he could get me and get the gold, or I win, and escape from the bad guy.
Suddenly, a moving van was parked at someone's house and loading furniture in the van. I went under the van, hoping I would trick Dresfer, but he went under the van, but he forgot about the telephone pole and he hit his head on the pole.
I flew as fast as I could. Now to find my friends.
"Brazil's not safe anymore, guys" I say.
"And now we have to travel again? Roy asked.
I nod my head.
"Wing, it took us about 60 days, (or two months), to get to Brazil." said Hazel. "Roy and Squirrely aren't going to last that long and I won't last, too."
"We could always go to Argentina" I said.
"I could go, because it's not a bad distance and I think that Roy and Squirrely could do it" said Hazel.
"I'm in" said Roy.
"And I'm in, too" Squirrely agreed.
"OK, we'll travel in the morning." "Good?" I said.
"Good" the others said in unison.
The next morning, we left the wonderful city of Rio and are on our way to Argentina, second largest country in South America.
We ate breakfast and flew a bit, then we had lunch, relaxed for a while and later had dinner and went to bed.
I was still thinking about Dresfer and thinking if he was following us and I wish that the world was at peace, everyone would be happy, me alone again but I would have peace to the world and be alone, than the world at war. All I want is peace.
Roslet told me that a few seconds later after the bombing, the hawks really ambushed us and killed lots of owls. He heard that there were no owls alive in the ambush there were not taken.
I almost cried thinking about this in my sleep and thought that they may be alive, but the odds were 70-1, so they were just dead, their bones rotting, eaten by other animals, or maybe alive but no chance in that.
We finally woke up after a long night, looking at the sun, its light shining on us but warming too.
The three of us ate breakfast, flew for a few miles and had lunch. We flew again for a few miles and relaxed in the sun, we later ate dinner, talked for a bit and went to bed.
The next morning we woke up to a new day and had breakfast, flew for a few miles and ate lunch. Then we flew again and landed on Sao Paulo and then had dinner and went to sleep.

Chapter 2: On the Road Again
I saw Hazel flying to us and it looks like she escaped from Dresfer."Brazil's not safe anymore, guys" I say.

Chapter 3: Plan
"Meeting, meeting!" yelled the count.
The ten hawks, the count and Dresfer and Rloaf sat in their seats, thinking of a plan.
"Hawks, we need a plan because the owls escaped, thanks to Dresfer and Rloaf!" shouted the count.
"Sorry" said Dresfer.
"Sorry doesn't cut it, but think of a plan, you two!" shouted the count.
"Yes sir" we said.
Suddenly, a hawk said that we should think where they may be going.
"Hmm, they could be going to Argentina or back to North America, but I think Argentina" said the count. "The three best ways are:
1. Brazil, Paraguay, then Argentina.
2. Brazil, Uruguay, then Argentina
3. Brazil, Bolivia, then Argentina
And these three are the best ways to go to Argentina."
"They would go the second way, right?" said a hawk.
"Right" said the count.
"My plan was that we should go the first way, because they're going the second way, and when they reach the end of Uruguay and enter Argentina, we can ambush them" said the count. "Good?"
"Yes!!" the hawks shouted with happiness in unison.
And now the hawks' plan is made and the hawks are hungry to catch the owls and are full of hope now.
"They would go the second way, right?" said a hawk.
"Right" said the count.
"My plan was that we should go the first way, because they're going the second way, and when they reach the end of Uruguay and enter Argentina, we can ambush them" said the count. "Good?"

Chapter 4: The Wrong Way
The next morning, we had breakfast, flew for a miles and ate lunch. Then we flew for a bit and relaxed until dinner. Then we talked for a little bit and then we went to bed.
We slipped out of the hawks' wings every time and we dodge every move they do. It's like we're fugitives on the run, far away from home, surviving, surviving from .. It's the same thing, survive, survive, survive! That's all I do but it's the best thing I can do.
I need to get away from surviving but if I was a soldier, I would a good one. In war, soldiers are used to kill the enemy soldiers but a soldier's mind, their job is to survive.
Humans survive. The nature of an animal is to survive, because their predator will eat them, but in a human's life, their only enemy is a gun, a person with a gun.
Meanwhile, the hawks are going the wrong way and are going the way to Peru, the long way to Argentina.
"What's taking so long?!" yelled the count. "It's taking for ever to get to Argentina!"
"Sir, we've only traveled for one day, count" said Dresfer.
"One day?!" shouted the count. "I could have been in Argentina by now if I traveled
alone!"
"Well, we're not on an airplane and hawks are-" said Rloaf.
"Shut up, Rloaf" said Dresfer.
"Don't tell me to shut up" said Rloaf.
"Shut up, Rloaf" said the count.
It was silent for a moment and then the quiet disappeared.
The hawks traveled more and stopped to have a few hours of sleep.
Now, the owls are getting out of bed and are having breakfast right now.
We finished our breakfast and flew for a little bit. I talked to myself, away from the others, talking about what will happen next and also about how the other surviving owls and birds are doing.
Then we ate lunch and flew again. Then we relaxed and ate dinner. We talked for a bit and got ready for bed and went to sleep.
The next morning we ate breakfast, flew a bit, ate lunch. Then we flew again, relaxed, ate dinner and then we went to bed.
The hawks still haven't figured out that they're going the wrong way. It looks like they're won't be an ambush after all.

Chapter 5: We reached Paraguay
We're at the border of Brazil and Paraguay. Bye bye, Brazil.
We crossed the border and we kept flying like nothing happened, because that's what happened: nothing happened. We just crossed a stupid line, an invisible line.
We just ate breakfast and we're flying right now, flying high in the shy, seeing the clouds, the sun and the birds high in the air, looking like it's another day beginning and ending.
Paraguay is a peaceful country, a place that is sunny and wonderful and a nice place to be in, but we're traveling to Argentina, not Paraguay.
Later, we flew down and ate lunch. Then we flew for a few miles and relaxed. We ate dinner and went to sleep.
The next morning we woke up and ate breakfast. Then we flew for a while and later ate lunch. Next, we flew up in the sky and flew for a bit and relaxed. We had dinner, talked for a bit and then we went to sleep.
I awoke up in a different place. I was in a cave surrounded with birds. I also noticed that the others were here too. They already woke up, and were thinking, "What the heck are we doing here?" I thought the same thing too and I heard the words " monkey" and "owls."
My thought was answered when a monkey covered in jewels, diamonds, and a crown walked into the cave and shoved birds away so he could us. He first walked up to me, his breath smelling of bananas (eww!) and he turned around to the birds and spoke.
"Thank you for getting these owls, because I want to keep them because I want to said that I caught the owls, like they got us monkeys in the war and I showed the world that the monkeys got revenge on the owls."
Then it was lots of claps. Suddenly, he threw some diamonds from his fur and everyone rushed to get the diamonds, not noticing me, Roy, Squirrely and Hazel fly away from the cave.
We flew as fast as we could from the cave and rested behind a blueberry bush.
"I have no clue how they found us" said Hazel, her voice angry.
"I don't know how they found us and how they could drag us to a cave in the middle of nowhere" said Roy.
"Yeah" chimed in Squirrely.
"We might as well fly somewhere" I said.
"I guess so" said Hazel.
The birds were still fighting over the diamonds, shoving one another, greed in their eyes, as though their eyes were glowing. That's the sign of greed.
We flew some more and later we had a quiet dinner. I don't know why but it was not so the birds couldn't find us but we were all tired from a long day. After dinner, we all went to bed. The day in over.
He is not in Canada, his homeland but we're looking for him in the United States. We've covered about 85% of the US, but after North America, we're searching the south.
Why is the world so big? Why can't the world be small, like Pluto, the dwarf planet, but science is not like that. Science cannot give all the things one person would want and everybody needs to learn that.
This war is the problem. War smashes hope, survival, friendship and happiness and that's what the hawks are doing. Smashing life. After the owl race and many other races, they will try to destroy the human race, the most powerful race of all. When they destroy them, all that live will bow before the hawks.
30 days later.
We've finished searching the United States and we entered South America, the south North America.
We split up into two groups: one group would take owls and the other would take hummingbirds. I would go alone and search the area for danger.
I flew for a bit and then I stopped to rest.
30 minutes had gone by since I left them. 40 minutes went by. An hour went by.
I headed back to the place we were split up an hour ago. Good thing I didn't go too far away from the place. Suddenly, I saw something. A hawk! Now this was a surprise! I was about to fly away from the hawk when something hit me in the head. I got knocked out and was dragged to a hawk base.
Then I woke up to see that I was in a hawk base. A hawk with a big booming voice came to me and looked at me. The hawk was chubby, he yelled lots to the hawks, (a general) I thought and was not the kind of guy you would want to with.
"Stand up, soldier!" he yelled. "I'm the general, and you better listen to me or you are going to make the biggest mistake in your life!"
"Okay" I said, acting calm and trying not to make the biggest mistake in my life.
"Good" said the general, not yelling this time.
I was put in a jail cell, bored, trying to get out of this cell. Every hour, a hawk would give me a tray with a little bit of food. The food was always the same thing: bread and rotten banana, and I was forced to eat that stuff.
Sleep wasn't so bad. I got a good night's sleep, but no air conditioning, but otherwise, it was pretty good.
It was my second day at the prison. The first thing I heard was the yelling from the general. Not at me but at the hawks but time to time, he yelled at me.
The second thing I heard was work: every single hawk was busy working, doing the job that was needed to do.
The day was fine, really, but I just want to get out of here. I mean, who can live here, even if you're a hawk and even the general. How can he live? He yells 24\7, okay? In ten years, this guy is going to lose his voice.
Suddenly, a bell started to ring. The lunchtime bell. Everybody started to fly over to the buffet table near the general's office. The table had beans, Bavarian sausages, lettuce (nobody even touched the lettuce), creame glacee (french for ice cream) and potatoes.
When the hawks were eating the super yummy food, I got sent the lettuce from the buffet table and ate that stuff. It was good.
The bell for work rang and all the hawks rushed to do their jobs and I got to sit in my cell, bored as ever.
Roy, Squirrely are fine, but I don't know about Hazel. Hazel hasn't been talking to us or herself but it's maybe because we she's tired and she's just angry at all of us.
When we were flying, I thought that I could cheer her up. Once I got the courage, I flew to her but I started to fly slowly.
But when I spoke to her, it was all wrong. Instead it was:
Wing: Hazel, are you OK?
Hazel: Just go away, OK Wing?!
Wing: But Hazel-
Hazel: Just go away!
Then she flew away from us. I tried to catch up to her but she was faster than me and flew away from me but I just reached her in time.
"Hazel-,"
"Just go away!!" she screamed.
Her eyelids were full of tears.
Suddenly, she slapped me so hard that she sent me rocketing out the sky.
Then we flew away from me and the others as fast as she could.
"So much for that" said Roy.
"Yep" agreed Squirrely.
We traveled on without Hazel. Nobody talked when we traveled. Maybe it was because Roy and Squirrely missed Hazel. Me, I didn't miss Hazel because was just being stupid. But she did have a bad life. Her whole family had died, she was alone. She was like me, alone, and no family. The only family she had was us. We were her family and her only home.
Then we had a quiet dinner. Again, nobody muttered a word. After that, we went to sleep and were starting to begin a long sleep.
The lunchtime bell rang and all the hawks leaped to the buffet table, munching on the food grossly. Then the back-to-work bell rang and the hawks started to go to work.
There was no dinner bell, but instead the hawks ate in the "dinner room" they called it. I don't know what they eat in there because it's way too far away from my jail cell but maybe they just eat the same stuff they eat at lunch.
But today, there was a big feast at dinner and everyone was invited. Since everyone was invited, this also means that the prisoners are allowed to join too. But there was only one prisoner: me, and this is my big chance to escape from the prison.
I was let out of my jail cell and entered into the party. The party was big and very nice, I have to say. The hawks also made the party look good with lots of details. The buffet table was in the middle of the party. There was also punch and some root beer, I think, but what were they celebrating for? I don't think that they were celebrating anything but just having a little party.
Suddenly I remembered why I wanted to go to this party for. To escape from the hawk prison.
I mingled in with the crowd, trying to escape without being noticed, but then I found a little gap in the crowd of hawks and I went though the hole.
Now for Step 2: fly as fast as you can. I did that and now I'm out of the base! Yes! After 8 long days, I escape!
I flew for a while and stopped to rest and camp here for the night.
It was a long, long night tonight. I couldn't sleep tonight, so I just started to look at the stars, counting each star, one by one. After a few hours of that, my eyelids started to grow heavy and before I knew it, I was sound asleep.

Chapter 6: Roslet is Caught
Wing was missing. We found that out four months ago and right now we're in Kansas, searching for Wing, Roy and Squirrely. He is not in Canada, his homeland but we're looking for him in the United States. We've covered about 85% of the US, but after North America, we're searching the south.

Chapter 7: Hazel Leaves the Group
We have no clue when we are and what we're doing. We're just flying.Roy, Squirrely are fine, but I don't know about Hazel. Hazel hasn't been talking to us or herself but it's maybe because we she's tired and she's just angry at all of us.

Chapter 8: Roslet Escapes (with no saw)
I began my eighth day in prison. It was another normal day, the yelling of the general, the working hawks; it was another normal day.The lunchtime bell rang and all the hawks leaped to the buffet table, munching on the food grossly. Then the back-to-work bell rang and the hawks started to go to work.
There was no dinner bell, but instead the hawks ate in the "dinner room" they called it. I don't know what they eat in there because it's way too far away from my jail cell but maybe they just eat the same stuff they eat at lunch.

Chapter 9: Wing and the Count
I was angry right now. The three of us haven't said a word to each other for three days and Hazel hasn't returned to us yet, which is a surprise because we're her family and we're her home but I'm also not surprised that she hasn't returned yet.
We're eating dinner right now and all is quiet but quiet is like peace; peace is quiet.
After we finished our dinner, we went to bed but I couldn't sleep, so I just looked into space but I knew the night would be longer and plus I was bored, so I went to sleep but something tells me that there was more than one owl awake like me but I said to myself, (you're probaly wrong, so just forget it).
Meanwhile, the count and his hawks are still traveling the wrong way.
"What is taking so long?!" shouted the count. "We should have passed at least one country!"
"Sir. the GPS is saying that we are entering Peru" said the hawk by the GPS.
"I told you to put away that GPS!" yelled the count. "That thing is useless because it is human-made!"
"But it's 100% acc-"
"But please put that thing away!"
"OK" said the hawk.
The GPS was right but like I said, the hawks were going the wrong way but their luck may change.
We return to Wing, Roy and Squirrely. It is morning there and they are eating their breakfast and soon are about to fly.
We flew in the sky, gliding in the air, feeling the wind on our wings. But yesterday, something popped and we started to talk to each other. The case of us is closed or finished, you could say.
We didn't talk a lot, but a little bit. It was good that we finally talked because my throat was starting to dry up.
Suddenly, we started to go down a little bit and soon we had lunch. We started to fly again and after, we relaxed in the sun. Then we ate dinner and went to bed.
The morning we had breakfast. Then we flew. To our surprise, we heard something. We flew slowly and quietly, but suddenly, that something grabbed Squirrely and soon the rest of us were caught too!
I quickly saw that the attacker was a hawk. To explain better, there were ten hawks, Dresfer and Rloaf, and another hawk I didn't know.
The hawk I didn't know introduced himself and then he put a piece of silk around my mouth and tied my legs and my body in rope.
When the count was about to tie my body, I attacked him but to my surprise, he fought back quickly.
Soon, we got into a fight and we fought badly, one slash to the other, the fight never stopping.
When the hawks weren't looking, Roy and Squirrely cut the ropes with the knives that Squirrely stole from two hawks. They cut the ropes and flew away behind another bush but mouthed to me that they won't go yet but they'll think of a plan.
Suddenly, I slashed the count so hard that he slammed to the ground. "This is my chance to go" I thought. So I flew and met up with Roy and Squirrely.
She explained about why she came. She came because she thought that she should give us another chance and because she missed us all.
Suddenly, some more flying objects came to us and they were Roslet and some other owls. Roslet said that the hawks have surrounded all of South America and that we need to attack them.
"But it's 10,000 vs 20, Roslet" said Wing "The numbers are bad."
"Not really" said Roslet. "They surround the continent, North, East, South, and West." "4 times 2 equals 8, but with the decimal and a 0.5, it adds 2 more and the number is ten." Here's an better way:
1. 4 times two equals 8
2. If you add a decimal and 0.5, the number is 2.5
3. 2.5 plus 2.5 plus 2.5 plus 2.5 equals 10
"So it's 2,500 hawks for each side" said Wing.
"Right" said Roslet.
"Right!" we all said in unison.
"Good" said Roslet. "The thing is, the whole continent of South America is surrounded by hawks and now we will have to fight our way though the hawks but too many hawks, right?"
"Yes!" we in unison again.
"But I have called for reinforcements and they will come soon" said Roslet.
"When do you think they will come?" asked Hazel.
"In a few days" said Roslet.
2 days later
"Sir, the reinforcements have arrived!" one of the owls said.
Roslet brought 50 owls as reinforcements. They said that they were all the best soldiers they had.
At nighttime, we found a few thousand hawks in one base! Roslet said that the base was the North base because of the giant N on top of the base.
The four of us hid in a bush and the other owls hid in the other bushes near us. We were ambushing them.
Suddenly Roslet gave the signal to attack and then ambushed them.
The hawks were really caught by surprise and we started to shoot them and they started to fire at us too.
But then, the count started to go into war too, because he fired rapidly with a bow and arrow, killing owls by second but then he stopped firing by the owls but started to shoot at me!
I dodged every single arrows that was shot by him and that was pretty cool because it's hard to dodge... never mind.
I flew on top of the building, because I wanted to see what it looked like and so I could shoot some hawks. There was was nobody up there. I placed my gun in my hand and began to fire at some hawks. I got a few of them but the rest I missed.
The view is terrible: owls were being shot down by the minute, also some hawks were shot too. Everything was destroyed... It was not a pretty sight but all wars, no matter how big or small, all are bad.
Suddenly, a hawk was on the roof and I was about to shoot him. I shot him in the eye but the thing is, that I was still falling down. I hit the ground and blacked out.

Chapter 10: Hazel is Deciding
Hazel is thinking what to do but she only has three options: go back to Wing, Roy and Squirrely, stay here in the darkness and go to the hawks.
I thought "I was stupid to leave the boys. I should have stayed but life is now complicated and I thought that I should leave because maybe I have nobody left to trust."
But I should have stayed because they were my only home and family left and now I have left and now I only have myself to trust but maybe I should try again.
"Never lose sight of your gut thinks" my mother said before she went to war. "Never."
I think she's right. I think that maybe I can give the trio another chance. I trust them with all my heart. I'm going back.
But where are they? They must have traveled pretty far but with speed and hope, I can catch up to them. Time to put my game face on.
Chapter 11: Roslet and the Others Find the Four
Suddenly, something spotted the three of us. Maybe a hawk but the object was much faster than a hawk. It was Hazel! She returned to us!She explained about why she came. She came because she thought that she should give us another chance and because she missed us all.

Chapter 12: Into Battle
"We are trying to get to North America, right?" said Roslet."Right!" we all said in unison.
"Good" said Roslet. "The thing is, the whole continent of South America is surrounded by hawks and now we will have to fight our way though the hawks but too many hawks, right?"
