Pigeons: The Final Journey

"To the people who live in the Pacific Rim area"

-M.N

Piogons: The Final Place

Chapter 1: Hawaii

As we saw the islands of Hawaii below us, Piogon and I flew to the closest island that we saw: Hawai'i.

When Piogon and I desended down to the island, we knew what to expect: volcanoes, dangerous creatures on land and sea, and course, the people vacationing on the islands. We don't want to ruin their vacation and start throwing rocks at us.

Hawaii is the only place from here to Japan that isn't sea, but just in case, we can always fly to back to Canada and fly from there.

As Piogon and I got closer and closer to the ground, we saw people with towels and umbrellas, some sitting in the sun, some swimming in the sea, aware of the big waves that come every once and a while.

At last, Piogon and I touched the ground and then I spoke.

"Welcome to Hawaii" I said to Piogon.

Chapter 2: Creatures in Hawaii

Piogon and I flew around the island of Hawai'i and saw people selling refreshing drinks and liquor, gift shops selling to tourists hola girls with grass skirts as bobbleheads, t-shirts with surf boards and other symbols of the islands, and hola girls in grass skirts dancing to tourists who had astonished looking faces.

"So this is Hawaii. Nice" commented Piogon.

"But Hawaii isn't all nice and friendly. Look" I pointed out to Piogon.

A dozen scaly creatures came out of the water. Each one was about three or four feet long. They did not look happy.

"What are those things?" asked Piogon.

"Let's not find out. Fly!" I shouted.

Chapter 3: Scaly Chase

The scaly creatures looked like they couldn't catch us in the air because they didn't have wings and didn't look very flyible, but never underestimate your predator or predators.

Piogon and I flew away from the scaly creatures and we thought we'd escape easy, but as I say before, never underestimate your predator.

There were coconut trees around us and the creatures leaped tree to tree like monkeys, and now it's going to be harder to escape the scaly creatures.

We were flying for our lives and our wings were getting tired, but we kept flying, never giving up.

Suddenly there were no more trees and now the scaly creatures couldn't get us and we were saved by no more trees.

"Saved by no trees!" shouted Piogon.

"Yep" I argeed.

Chapter 4: Preparing For a Long Trip of Sea Ahead

When the scaly creatures left, I said to Piogon that we better start packing because Hawaii is the last place on the Pacific Ocean, and that means no turning back.

"Yeah, we should start packing" said Piogon.

"We could go to Canada in case of an accident, but I'm not sure if that would work" I said.

"I could be a packup plan for now" Piogon suggested.

"For now" I said to Piogon.

"But what should we pack for the trip?" asked Piogon.

I wasn't looking at Piogon, but at a shop selling sunflower seeds, and suddenly I had an idea in my head.

"Do you like to eat-'till-you-explode places?" I asked Piogon, pointing to the shop selling sunflower seeds.

"Yep" replied Piogon.

Chapter 5: Fighting For the Birds

Piogon and I flew in the sunflower seed shop and we saw a man in yellow shorts and in a t-shirt with Hawaiian designs on it.

"Ah, little birdys" said the man. "Pigeons. What a surprise. On the islands, we never see pigeons. You birdys will earn me big money."

We turned to flee, but suddenly insead of grabbing us, he put a bowl on the floor and filled it up with sunflower. He was luring us away from the door. That's his style.

Piogon took the bait: He flew to the bowl full of seeds and suddenly he was caught in a net by the man. Then the man locked him in a cage.

I knew I couldn't leave because my friend was in that shop and I had to save him.

I needed the key to open the cage and the key was hanging on his belt and I know that can't just ask him for the key, but to find a way.

There was a knife on the counter in the seed shop and suddenly I had a great idea in my head. I could chase him far away from the cage, to the door of the sunflower seed shop, and threaten to cut his head with the knife, and then he'll give me the key and then it's easy.

So I went away from the door and chased him around the store, smashing glass and breaking other objects, but finally I grabbed the knife from the counter and chased him to the door of the shop and I threatened the man to kill him and he gave me the key and ran out of the shop.

Then I freed Piogon and we got some stuff for traveling.

Chapter 6: Packing

Piogon and I filled up on sunflower seeds and packed some sunflower seeds for our long trip across the ocean.

We also packed some water in little bottles that Piogon got us (don't ask where he got them), and when we're flying, we put them around our necks.

Also we made hats out of leaves and some sticky stuff from the coconut trees so the leaves could hold together. We'll wear the hats so we won't get heatstroke.

Tonight Piogon and I leave the islands of Hawaii so we can go on our journey across the sea and into Japan, which we'll go to India next and then to the Chinese mountains.

Chapter 7: New Ways

3 days later

I knew we were dead when we ran of food. Piogon and I also ran out of the water in our tiny bottles.

We are roughly 180 miles from Japan in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and our luck has ran out.

There were ways to survive in the middle of the sea, though.

For food, we hunted for fish with our beaks and Piogon and I weren't the best fishermen in the world. We always missed the fish, but sooner or later, we caught a fish or two and ate it for one of our meals.

Water was the easiest: it was all around us. But it's salt water and salt water is very salty and not drinkable, but it's better than nothing.

Piogon and I are going to have to adapt to our new ways: fish for food and salt water for water.

Chapter 8: Land

100 days later

At last, Piogon and I reached land after flying for countless days on the sea, drinking salt water and eating fish.

We have arrived in Minato, Tokyo, the birthplace of the car company, Honda.

Piogon and I are going to look around the city for a little bit like we did in Hawaii, to see what Minato looks like.

After we're finished looking around the city, Piogon and I are going to have some food and drink and then rest, because traveling across an ocean is hard work, and I think that we deserve a rest for once and for all.

Chapter 9: Birds

As we flew around the busy streets of Minato, we saw dozens of people walking around shops and riding bikes and the honking of cars in downtown Minato.

We saw some birds when we were flying around skyscrapers and this was odd because so far in Minato, we haven't seen a single bird in Minato besides Piogon and I.

I had a funny feeling about the birds. There were four of them and they were flying a fair distance from us.

But I noticed that every few minutes, the birds would be a couple feet closer to us and suddenly I realized that they were following us!

I that Piogon to fly faster and then we both did. The birds started chasing us for real. The chase is on.

Chapter 10: Fake Pigeons

The birds started to chase us though downtown Minato and as we passed by signs and shops in Japanese, the birds were starting to get closer and closer to us.

Piogon and I were chased into alleys and around tall buildings. The birds were now rapidly gaining on us by the minute. Soon they were only a few feet from us.

Suddenly with my preripheral vision, I saw at the next turn a Japanese restaurant with two fake pigeons on the window. The birds would think it's us and they would attack us, but smash into a window. They would keep doing the same thing and people would be scared and they would call the police and keep the birds with them.

I told Piogon to go high in the air and luckily the birds didn't notice.

But then the birds saw the fake pigeons on the window and started attacking them, but slammed into a window. This kept happening and they just kept slamming into a windom. Soon enough the police came and locked them into cages.

"But... Was that?" stammered Piogon.

"Yes, my plan. Come, let's fly to India" I called to Piogon.

Chapter 11: In India

Finally we reached the land of India, and Piogon and I we're pooped out from the things we had just done.

As we flew around India, we saw many people with turbans and necklaces. Some were wearing rags in their legs and body.

Piogon and I looked at the beautiful Buddha statues shops were selling to tourists and also Indian jewelry that shone in the sun.

Soon Piogon and I found a place to rest in a shady area that was quiet. We fell asleep immediately.

Chapter 12: Another Challenge

Piogon and I were woken up by ten flying crocodile looking things. They had sharp teeth and wings. The flying crocodile things also had green skin and a tail. Flying crocodiles.

We flew as fast as we could fly from the flying crocodiles but the flying crocodiles were gaining on us.

When we were being chased, I noticed that when they turn, they turn very slowly and almost crash into something. Suddenly I had an idea.

Soon when we were still being chased by the flying crocodiles, we were turning near a house. I went up near the roof and then I turned quickly turned right, and the flying crocodiles had bad turning and they bumped their heads and fell down to the ground.

"That was your plan?" asked Piogon.

"Yes. Now to the Chinese mountains!" I shouted.

Chapter 13: Mothers Again

Two days later

We had arrived at the Chinese mountains and Piogon and I were flying around the mountains for our moms.

Piogon and I had been searching for our moms for ten minutes and no luck. But we haven't given up yet.

Suddenly I saw two flying figures. I went towards them and saw it was Mom and Piogon's mom!

"Mom!" I shouted with excitment.

"Piogon, come here!" I yelled with all my might.

Piogon came quickly and saw his mom and mine. He shouted with joy.

"Mom!" Piogon yelling, joy in his voice.

He went to his mom and hugged her. A mother reunion.

Piogon and I hugged and kissed our moms as love fulled the air. We were never so happy in our lives.

"Who is the other pigeon? Is he a friend?" asked Mom.

"Yes. His name is Piogon.

"Can you tell me why you are here?" I asked.

"Let me tell you the whole story."

"One day I was mad at your father and I ran away. I first went to the coast mountains in B.C. But I found it was not right for me. So I went to California" said Mom.

"I didn't like the mountains there too. I went to China. The mountains were perfect and beautiful. This was the perfect place to be" finished Mom.

"I see you were looking for me and along the way you made a friend. I am proud. But I was surprised that you found me."

"Yes. I tried and tried to find you and here you are. This is because I love you. That is why I tried so hard to find you" I said.

"I see" said Mom.

"Are we going back home?" I asked.

"No. This is home" Mom said.

"But I think Piogon and his mother are staying here too" said Mom.

"Do you think so?" I asked.

"Yes I do" said Mom.

Pigeons in California

"To the people of California."

-M.N

Pigeons in California

Chapter 1: California

Piogon and I are in California, the state of the famous Los Angeles and the beautiful sunshine that shines upon the civilised state.

We're in Sacramento. the capital of Caifornia, and we are right now staying away from the cold fall weather. It took us a long time to get to Cailfornia because it's so far away from B.C, and we landed right in the middle of fall.

"It's cold here" said Piogon.

"Yes. but we should start traveling" I said.

"It's cold out there, and I'm so warm here" Piogon said.

"But our moms need us. If we stay here, we'll never get to our moms. Come on.

"All right, I'll go, but it's cold out there."

Chapter 2: Chased

We went outside in the freezing fall air and flew to the east because the mountains were in eastern Cailfornia, about 20 km from here, so not very far, but with the windy weather now, it will take longer than in Trail.

Suddenly, a owl came towards us, but it wasn't greeting us, it wanted to eat us!

Piogon and I flew away from the owl attacking, but owls are very fast and it was gaining speed rapidly.

The owl to Piogon and I is huge, but we are very small and can hide in places that the owl can't.

The owl was chasing us in downtown Sacromento, and there were an old building with holes big enough for Piogon and I to hide in and that the owl can't fit in. We could hide in one of the holes and stay safe from the owl.

I told Piogon my idea. He liked it and then we went in a hole in the old building and sure enough, I was right; the owl couldn't fit in the hole.

But the owl's beak could fit and the owl tried to get us with the beak, but he didn't get us and the owl left us alone.

"That was a close call" said Piogon.

"Yes" I replied.

"But owls eating pigeons?" said Piogon. "That's wrong."

"Yep, and this one tried to eat us."

Chapter 3: More Owls

We followed after the owl to see where it lived and the owl went out of downtown Sacromento and into western Scaromento where there weren't many buildings.

Suddenly the owl stopped at an a old building where humans were probably making cereal but stopped making it for some reason. I knew this because of the sign that had a cereal box on it.

The owl started to move again and Piogon and I followed until the owl stopped again where 50 owls were in rows of ten and there was an owl not in a row besides the owl that chased us.

"Did you destroy the pigeons?" the owl besides the owl that chased us.

"No. They're hiding a small hide in downtown Sacromento. I couldn't get them in the hole."

"OK. We will destroy them with ten of the strongest owls here, you being the captain."

"Yes. I will get my ten strongest owls, sir."

"I trust your word. Off you go!"

Then we left the building and flew back to downtown Sacromento and hid in the old building, watching the next move

Chapter 4: Call to Arms!

"We need to leave California now" said Piogon.

"For once, I agree with you" I said.

"But we should have second thoughts" Piogon said.

"Maybe we should fight them" I said.

"We can't cower yet" Piogon added.

"Yes. Let's go!" I yelled

Chapter 5: Trick

We went to the base of the owls' and spreaded some false news. I hope the owls believe the lies we're about to say.

Piogon and I go to one of the owls' and tell the owl the lies.

"What?" he screeches. "Monster birds are going to attack Sacromento and destroy everybody, even us?'

We nod.

"Sir, sir, monster birds are going to attack Sacromento and destroy everybody, even us!" shouts the owl we told to the captain of the owls.

"What?" exclaims the captain. "Who told you?"

He points at us.

"How do you pigeons know this?" commanded the captain.

"We are fortune-tellers. We know the future."

"That explains it. Owls, let's get out of Sacromento right now!" shouted the captain.

All the owls left the scene.

"Yes! Now we can go to the mountains!" exclaimed Piogon.

"Yes we can."

Chapter 6: Realized

As my owls and I were flying out of downtown Sacromento, I thought about what day the monsters would attack the city.

I asked one of my owls.

"What day did the fortune-tellers said the monsters would attack Sacromento?" I asked one of my owls.

"They didn't say" replied the owls.

"It's all right" I said to the owls.

"See you" said the owl.

"You too."

I thought hard about the day they were attack the city as we traveled out of Sacromento.

Suddenly I realized something: in Sacromento, there are no fortune-tellers, especially not pigeons. It was a trick.

We were almost out of the city and I yelled to my owls so they could stop. I didn't want them to be tricked like I had before.

"Why are we stopping" asked one of the owls.

"Because we were tricked!" I yelled to the owls.

"Are there fortune-tellers in Sacromento? Are there pigeon fortune-tellers here? No! We were tricked! There is nobody attacking Sacromento! Let's go back to downtown Sacromento and go to the old building with the holes! He will show you the way!"

I pointed to my lieutenant, the owl that chased the pigeons.

"Go and find the pigeons! Attack them!"

Chapter 7: Figured it Out

Piogon and I were eating lunch. Later we were going to the mountains of California and see if our moms were there.

When we were in the middle of eating lunch, I heard the screeching of birds, so I went to see what it was.

I saw what it was, and I was surprised to see what it was: the owls!

I told Piogon what the screeching was and he was shocked to see what it was like I was as well.

We both knew what to do: fly as quick as we could to the mountains to find our moms and then fly out of Sacromento.

So we flew as fast as we could away from the owls.

Chapter 8: Caught

The owls were flying faster than us and were rapidly gaining on us. We know we were about to be caught.

A few moments later, they caught us and instead of eating us, they tied thick rope around our waists and they carried us by using their beaks and flew.

They brought Piogon and I to their base and tied us to stakes, and I have a feeling that they're going to starve Piogon and I.

Chapter 9: How to Escape

 "Piogon, I've got a plan" I said.

I told Piogon the plan and he liked. Luckily none of the owls were watching me talk to Piogon.

"Hey, owl" Piogon called to one of the owls.

The owl went to Piogon.

"Did you notice something on your back? I think it's hairball or something" said Piogon.

While the owl was searching for the hairball on his back, I began to pick at the thick rope around Piogon and I, and nobody was watching us! What luck!

In 10 minutes, I had already broke the rope on Piogon and I, and still the owl was searching for the hairball on his back.

"Where is it?" complained the owl.

"Right here" said Piogon.

Then Piogon kicked the owl.

"Ow!" Hey, this was all a trick! Get them!" screetched the owl.

Then the owls started to chase us, and the next thing I know, this is going to be a long time until we lose these owls.

Chapter 10: Another Trick

Soon the owls caught us and we were back to square 1.

"We've got you two now! You two are very good tricksters, I have to say" said the captain.

"Yes, we are. But for once can you let us go?" begged Piogon.

"Why would I?" asked the captain.

"Because the monsters are coming to destroy Sacromento and you and your owls" exclaimed Piogon.

Sure enough, there was a helicopter in the air with a sea monster design on the body of the helicopter, making it look like the helicoper was the leader of the monsters.

It was bigger than one owl or even the captain himself, so it looked like it could destroy the city.

"Where are the other monsters?" asked the captain.
"Coming soon" I answered.

"When?" asked the captain.

"About two days"

"Two days?" Owls, let's get out of Sacromento!" shouted the captain.

Then all the owls left us, and when we were sure they were gone from the city, we flew as fast as we could to the Californian mountains.

Chapter 11: The Final Place

When Piogon and I got to the mountains of California, we started to fly around the mountains, looking for our mothers, but just like last time, nothing.

"Our mothers aren't here. Let's go back home" said Piogon weakly.

Suddenly an idea popped in my head.

"China. The Chinese mountains. The final place to go to. Our mothers will be there" I said to Piogon.

"Then let's go!" yelled Piogon.

"First stop, Hawaii!" I shouted.

And then we flew away from the mountains, leaving only the salty sea and California behind us.

Pigeons

"To Manbir"

-M.N

Pigeons

Chapter 1: Pige

I'm Pige, a common, ordinary pigeon that eats breadcrumbs and gets shooed off by the humans like all the other pigeons in the park.

I live with my dad, but I don't know what happened to my mom. Maybe she died somehow, maybe she went to live with someone else.

In the past, I asked my dad where my mom is, but he said she lives somewhere else, and I tried asking my dad where she lives now, but he never told me.

But I asked him about that when I was little. I'm bigger now; I know now a lot more than when I was small.

Tonight, I'm going to ask Dad about my mom. Maybe he'll tell me. I'm crossing my wings. I may be lucky.

Chapter 2: Answer

When it was night, not pitch-black, but visible, I started asking questions about Mom, and like last time, no answers to my questions.

"Where's Mom?" I asked.

"I don't know" answered Dad.

"Is Mom alive?" I asked again.

There was a sudden pause, but then Dad spoke.

"I'll answer your question if you don't pestering with questions Mom, OK?"

I wanted to ask more questions so I know more, but I really want Dad to answer my question. So I argeed.

"OK, I agree" I agreed.

"OK. Mom's alive."

"Where?" I asked.

"You agreed" reminded Dad.

"Right" I said.

This is great, because I got an answer out of him, and now know that Mom's alive. This is good.

Chapter 3: Second Thoughts

The next morning, I left to find Mom, since she was alive, but I ran into one problem:
Maybe Dad knew that Mom was alive, but that could have been years ago.

Also, I don't where to search for Mom, because she could be anywhere, but she once
told me that she likes flying over mountains.

The BC coast mountains: That's where she is right now, and I've decided what to do: I'm going to find Mom and bring her home here.

Chapter 4: A Long Journey to the Mountains

I started to fly in the sunny summer air, the perfect wind and weather to fly in.

The distance from Trail, BC, to the BC Coast mountains is about 100 miles, a very long way for a small pigeon like me.

But I must do it for my mom and for me and maybe even my dad. I must fix whatever happened in the past with my mom and dad.

It's going to be a long journey to the mountains of BC, but I will bring my mom back from the mountains so she can live a long happy life here in Trail.

Chapter 5: One day Out of Many

"Stop thinking about Mom, let's just fly" I said to myself.

I flew in the warm summer air, not talking to myself, just thinking about Mom and the good memories we had together.

Soon it when around lunchtime, I deesended from the air and went to find some breadcrumbs and some seeds.

After my meal, I flew some more until it was dark, and then I ate my dinner and went to sleep to rest for the night. This was one day out of many long adventurous days.

Chapter 6: Thunderstorm

Thr next morning, I went flying in the sky, seeeing crows and other birds flying in the sky, except they weren't on an adventure to find their moms.

I was flying along, not saying a word, when suddenly black clouds started to form, and the next thing I knew was it was thunderstorm.

If I was back at the park in Trail, I would have been fine because I could hide with my dad in the pigeon house where just me and my dad live, but there's no pigeon house and Dad; it's just me, the birds in the sky, and the thunderclouds.

I couldn't back away from the thunderstorm now, because I need to get Mom from the mountains and bring her back home.

So I started to go though the thunderclouds, even though I didn't want to, but I have to; for my mom.

I went under the clouds, and almost got hit by a lightning bolt, but I went on like a hero, and what seemed to be forever was just a few minutes, the thunderstorm was over and the clouds turned white and the sky was blue.

Chapter 7: After the Thunderstorm

I was relieved to be alive because a pigeon like me could have got killed in the thunderstorm easily, and I was proud to stay calm when I went in the thunderclouds, and it was worth it.

So I went back to flying in the sunny sky, feeling the wind on my feathers, seeing all the birds flying happily in the sunshine and looking at the land below.

Later in the day, I ate my lunch and went back to flying in the sky, and later when it was getting a little dark, I ate dinner and went to sleep for I knew that another long day was ahead of me.

Chapter 8: Piogon Joins

The next morning, I woke up at dawn and started to fly in the sky, where not many birds were flying at time of day.

I was flying a couple of feet alongside the birds, slient as always when I'm flying, when suddenly a pigeon with the other birds.

To me, it's just a pigeon flying in the sky, trying to get somewhere, but this pigeon flew to me and greeted to me.

"Hello" I greeted back to the pigeon.

"What's your name?" asked the pigeon.

"Pige. Yours?"

"Piogon" replied Piogon.

"Where are you going to?" I asked.

"Not sure, but I'm looking for my mom" answered Piogon. "You?"

"The B.C coast mountains to find my mom" I answered back to Piogon.

"So you're trying to find your mom too?" asked Piogon.

"Yes."

"My mom always loved the Canadian west" said Piogon.

"My mom loved the mountains" I said.

"The coast mountains are west and my mom loves the west. Maybe we'll find our moms in the same place" said Piogon.

"Good idea!" I exclaimed. "Would you like to go with me?" I asked Piogon.

"Sure."

Chapter 9: Good Pace

Two days later

Piogon and I are traveling at a good steady pace.

None of us slows each other when we fly; we stay at the same speed, and at the end of the day, we've traveled a good distance.

It's nice having Piogon around because he's really nice company and a good person to talk to sometimes.

The weather's been nice, lots of sunshine and no thunderstorms, good so we can fly more to get to our destination, the B.C coast mountains, because when it's winter, it's going to be cold and snowy and not the weather for flying.

Same thing for fall; cold and not right for flying, just like winter, and that's why I like a good, steady pace so we can get to our the coast mountains faster.

At the end of the day when we go to sleep, I always know that Piogon is with me because I know what it's like sleeping be yourself. But when there's someone sleeping with you, it's a lot different than sleeping alone.

Chapter 10: At the Mountains

The next day, we woke up and started to fly, seeing the birds and the sky and even a little bit of the sun popped into view.

Suddenly, I saw snowy-capped tops of mountains and I froze: I was looking at the coast mountains!

Piogon noticed the white caps too and we were both very excited; our moms are here at the mountains!

We flew around the mountains to look for our moms, but when we saw that all the mountains we could see we already looked for our moms, Piogon and I started to lose hope.

"They are more of the coast mountains" I said.

"I know, but we'll be just wasting our time" said Piogon.

"Where else can we go?" I asked.

"We can go to the California mountains. My mom loves sun too."

"It's worth a try. Let's go!" I yelled.

Adventure

"To Ryan, a friend of mine until he moved away."

-M.N

Frost

Chapter 1: Frost

I'm Frost, a polar bear living with my momma bear in Churchill, Manitoba.

My dad died in a fight with a polar bear trying to kill Mom, and Dad sacrifaced his life to save Mom. I wasn't born at the time.

I have a friend named Puff, a adventurous puffin who loves challenges, big or small, and he's very kind and funny.

We play together in the treehouse that me and Puff found abandoned a long time ago, and everyday we play in it.

A few days after we found the treehouse, Puff found a little wooden piano and he knows how to play For Elise!

I'm right now sleeping, murmuring words from good memories of me and Puff, commenting about Puff's playing and us talking together. Such good memories.

Chapter 2: An Adventure

I heard that Snow, the polar bear princess of Nunavut, is missing!

Since I live in Manitoba, this isn't special, but it's an adventure and adventures are rare, and me and Puff love adventures.

I told Puff about the news and when I finished speaking, his face showed me that he was excited, which isn't a surprise, since he loves challenges the same I do.

"Yes, an adventure!" shouted Puff.

"We're going on an adventure, we're going on an adventure!" we song together.

It's a song we made up not long ago, and it's a nice, adventurous song that you would hear in the Hobbit or something.

I didn't tell Mom about our adventure and were we traveling to.

We sang the song when we were traveling along, like real adventurers, singing songs, and facing danger... I hope we reach that, like real adventurers.

Chapter 3: Hunters

The next morning, me and Puffin woke up from the cave we were sleeping in and traveled.

An hour into traveling along in the snow, I heard the crackling of heavy boots on snow, growing louder and louder the closer the noise was.

I could see humans in large parkas and heavy boots with quivers full of arrows, each with a huge bow used to kill bigger prey. They were hunters!

And we were the prey.

Puff had the best chance of surviving the hunters, since he could fly, he was small, and the hunters would think he was small prey, nothing much to eat and a waste of arrows.

I was the big prey, but I was big, and it would take many arrows to kill me, and I could kill many hunters easily.

Another trick for me to survive was to camouflage into the snow, and that trick works real nice with predators hunting polar bears.

Real nice to use on the hunters that are going to kill me. Real nice.

Me and Puff ran away from the hunters, only ten feet from us, already shooting arrows us, but they missed.

As they were gaining closer and closer to us, my heart thumped louder and louder and my death was nearer and nearer to the heavens by the minute.

Suddenly I saw thick snow at the next bend, where the humans couldn't see camouflage in the snow.

I camouflaged into the snow quickly, and I noticed that Puff was hiding behind a bush since he couldn't camouflage like me.

The hunters ran past us and when me and Puff were sure they were gone, we came out of our hiding positions and traveled for a little bit until we were hungry.

Puff found fish in a lake near where we were going to eat lunch, and I caught some prey, and when we both came back to eat our lunch, we ate together, didn't say a word, and were eating sliently, happy to be together, but sliently eating, each having nothing to say to each other.

Chapter 4: Lucinda

The next day, we traveled in the foggy weather, another day of finding Snowy the polar bear, our mission.

Suddenly I saw something in the thick morning fog: a female polar bear wandering in the snow, minding her own business.

"Hello" I greeted her.

"Hello" she greeted back.

"What's your name?" Puff asked.

"Lucinda" she answered back to Puff. "Yours?" she asked me and Puff.

"I'm Frost" I said.

"And I'm Puff" Puff answered to Lucinda.

"Beautiful names" Lucinda commented. "Very."

"Thank you" I said.

Chapter 5: A Third Adventurer

"Where are you and Puff going?" asked Lucinda.

"To Nunavut" I answered.

"Why?" Lucinda asked.

"It's very complicated" I answered back to Lucinda.

"Try me."

"Snow the polar bear of Nunavut is missing, and we're going there to see if she is somewhere in Nunavut because it's big there."

"Me and Puff are adventurers and this is our first adventure" I finished.

"Can I join?" Lucinda asked.

"Sure."

"Hear that, Puff? A third adventurer!"

Chapter 6: The Trio Traveling

The three of us went to back to traveling in the fog, and later the sun rose brightly in the sky and the fog disappeared.

We had lunch and after the meal, we traveled some more, passing bushes and looking at the snow-capped mountains.

Later we ate dinner and looked at the stars, connecting the stars into constellations, and after we watched the stars, we all went to sleep for a long night's rest.

Chapter 7: Puff Missing

The next morning when I woke up, I noticed that Puff wasn't here with us.

I waited a few minutes to see if Puff was off hunting for fish or going to bathroom, but he didn't come back, so I woke up Lucinda.

"Puff's gone" I said. "I waited a few minutes to see if he'd come back, but he didn't."

"This is odd because I never saw or hear him leave us, which I always do" commented Lucinda.

"Let's find him" I said.

"OK." answered Lucinda.

We searched in the snow, behind bushes, and at the lake where Puff goes to hunt, but no Puff.

"Let's go back, it's getting cold " said Lucinda.

"No, let's keep searching" I pushed.

Suddenly, something grabbed me and Lucinda and then everything was black.

Chapter 8: Rescue

Suddenly I woke up and saw I was in a warehouse full of dusty old boxes and a few forklifts.

In one corner, I saw a small cage made of wood and a bigger cage made of medal and in the two cages were Puff and Lucinda!

I first freed Puff and then me and Puff tried to break Lucinda's medal cage, and it was hard, but we soon broke the cage and Lucinda was free!

We found our way out of the warehouse, and then we all talked in the snow about what happened.

"Why was I not a cage like you guys?" I asked. "I blacked out like you guys."

"Yes" answered Lucinda. "You did."

"Who knocked me, Lucinda and you out?" I asked Puff.

"So many questions and no answers" said Puff. "I don't know."

"It might happened again" said Lucinda.

"But we'll be ready."

Chapter 9: Another Plan

"What happened to the two polar bears and the puffin?" I commanded.

Sorry, I'm Lufa, a wolf that lead my two wolves to the two polar bears and the puffin, and right now, I'm hearing disappointment like always.

"They escaped. I'm sorry, boss." said the wolf that was watching them.

This always happens, but I can come up with another plan like always. A better plan than the last one.

"You two go and do the same thing as last time, but I will come you this time."

"OK, boss" they said in unison.

"Good. We'll do good this time. If not, we're slowing them down."

Chapter 10: One Down, Two to Go

We caught up to them and hid in a bush where we'd ambush them and then kill the three.

When I thought it was good time to attack them, we jumped from the bush and attacked.

It was a long fight, but in the end, we killed one of the polar bears named Frost, judging by the other two were crying out "Frost!" when he was hurt.

One down, two to go.

Chapter 11: Final Moments

It was night, and nobody was watching us, the perfect time for Puff and me to say our final words to Frost.

I already said my final words to Frost, but Puff was doing overtime.

"Frost" said Puff.

"Frost, why are you not alive right now? Why!" cried Puff.

"Puff, I'm sorry, but life goes on" I said.

"No, it doesn't!" shouted Puff.

"I'm sorry, Puff. Think of happy thoughts of you and Frost. Try. It'll make you feel better" I comforted Puff.

"OK."

We buried Frost beyond the snow that looked the ground, and then we went to sleep, Puff sleeping beside where we buried Frost, and I sleeping on the other side of Frost, Puff on the right and I on the left.

Chapter 12: Snow

The next morning, me and Puff woke up and traveled in the snowy weather, me walking along and Puff flying, the snow in his face.

Later we stopped traveling so Puff could hunt for fish at a nearby steam and so I could hunt for some seals where Puff was near.

We brought our prey to where we stopped to hunt and then I ate on the snowy ground, eating seal, while Puff was eating fish on a rock.

After we finished lunch, we traveled for a little bit and when we traveling, I saw a female polar bear.

I ran to the polar bear and greeted her. She told me that she was Snow, the ice princess of Nunavut.

I was frozen in stock; this was the polar bear that was missing, and right now she's here, skin and bone.

Me and Puff told her our names and I told her that we were on a adventure to find you.

I told her she can stay with us and she argeed. She's with us. The adventure is almost over: just to find where home is.

Chapter 10: Where is Home?

"I don't want to go back to Nunavut!" cried Snow.

"They make you do all sorts of fancy manners and greeting, and I dont like it there!"

"That's why you were said to be "missing!" exclaimed Puff.

"Yes, that's why I was said to be missing" said Snow. "And you obviously thought I was missing and were starting to search for me."

"Now we found you!" shouted Puff.

"One question: where is home?" I asked.

"Not Nunavut!" yelled Snow.

"Maybe Churchill" suggested Puff.

"Churchill, Manitoba?" I asked Puff.

"Me and Frost's home."

"Lt's go there!" I shouted.

"And live there!" exclaimed Snow.

"A perfect plan!" Puff shouted.

Chapter 11: Home

One week later

"We're home!" shouted Puff. "At least mine and Frost's."

Churchill was just like I wanted it. No fancy rules, perfect weather for a polar bear, and lots of food there.

Here's (Churchill), it's like a free country, very nice to live in and lots of needs like food and water, but most of all, no fancy rules.

The past in gone, and the future begins. Better make the best of the future in Churchill like making friends. I already did that when I went on my first adventure.

The Tale of Lionis and Leopario

"To Landyn, my third friend."

-M.N

The Story of Lionis

Chapter 1: An Unhappy Ruler

I am Lionis, the ruler of a small demain, but I'm an unhappy ruler not because I'm leader of a small empire, but because I wish I could do more for my people.

I'm watching the plains for predators, and I see the females hunting prey for the males while us males sit here and watch the young of the females.

My wife, Kenya, is hunting and lucky for me, we don't have young, so for now, I am allowed to watch the plains and see the females hunting.

When Kenya came back, the two of us had dinner together and after our eating, Kenya went to sleep while I watched the land of my kingdom.

Chapter 2: Leopario Visits Lionis

Later in the night, I fell asleep and in the in morning, I was woken by Kenya as always.

Kenya went hunting and soon she came back with meat, and then we gorged on the meat for breakfast.

We were finishing what was left of breakfast when suddenly I saw Leopario out of nowhere.

"Hello, Lionis!" greeted Leopario with strong cheer in his voice.

"Hello to you too, Leopario!" I greeted back.

Pardon me for not telling me who Leopario is.

Leopario is a lion not a leopard, and he's my cousin and he's my favourite person in my family.

He's very cheerful as you see, and very loud, too.

After we greeted to each other, we talked about how were were and what changed in the family, and while we were talking, Kenya gave the food from breakfast that we were going to Leopario.

Suddenly I heard screaming and the roars of lions and I turned to look what was, and it was my kingdom's lionesses screaming and lions attacking my people roaring, while some of the lions of my kingdom were fighting off lions that were attacking.

"Oh, no!" cried Kenya.

"Lonion" I said.

Chapter 3: Saving the Kingdom

Me, Kenya and Leopario went to save my kingdom from Lonion's lions, but everyone was scattered and that made it harder to find them. Luckily my kingdom's small and that makes it easier for us.

We had a plan and it was to get all the lionesses out of the open where Lonion's lions could kill them, and get them all to the safe place, which was an old mill that the humans abandoned a long time ago. Kenya would hide there, too.

All the males of the kingdom including me and Leopario, to scare off the lions attacking.

Me and Leopario told all the males the plan.

When they're off my kingdom, we will send a signal to the females and everyone can relax.

I made that the safe place if we were attacked because it's far from the boarder around my kingdom and it's very big with lots of places where the lionesses can hide.

We rounded all of the lionesses and we lead the females to the mill and then the females and Kenya hid the mill.

Then me and Leopario joined the males fighting and it was noot long until we scared off the lions and we sent the signal to the females in the mill.

Suddenly I saw Kenya and then Leopario joined in with the two of us and we all talked together.

"That was odd that Lonion's lions attacked us. They never attack us" I said.

"Yes, but I've heard of many kingdoms with lions that were attacked by Lonion's lions" said Leopario.

"I have a feeling about something" spoke Kenya.

"Us too" said me and Leopario in unison.

Chapter 4: Lonion

Lonion.

Lonion was a good bright young lion and the females liked him a lot, hoping they would be his bride.

Another reason they wanted to marry him was because his father was the ruler of one of the big kingdoms and he was also very strong.

Kenya was one of the females that like Lonion, and Lonion liked her too because she was brave, beautiful and caring to all animals, but one day she met me and she was the sweetest sight I've even seen.

She liked me and we hung out together, seeing the plains, talking to each other, sometimes even about our future together as a married couple.

But Kenya didn't tell me about her liking of Lonion, my enemy, and she never did until one night she was scared.

She told me she was scared of Lonion, who had found out about our dating together, and he was hunting Kenya down and he was about to kill her.

Suddenly Lonion appeared and me and Lonion got in a fight and I win and told Lonion never to follow and talk to Kenya again.

He argeed and me and Kenya ran as fast as we could from Lonion.

We later got married, I become ruler of my father's land and we've been happy ever since.

The attack that Lonion lions did. It's very mysterious what's going to happen next time.

Chapter 5: Revenge

I want revenge on Lionis.

He met Kenya one day and then they fell in love and she forgot about me. Her real husband.

Yesterday, I attacked Lionis's kingdom and I failed, but I will try again and kill him and marry Kenya, my love that abandoned me long ago.

I will have my revenge. I will make Lionis's life hard and bitter like he did to me, and I'll do a hard gamble to do it.

Chapter 6: Choice

Suddenly, I saw Lonion and two lions at his side.

"The two best lions of his kingdom" I thought.

Lonion and the other lions approached to me, Leopario and Kenya, and then Lonion spoke.

"We're at war, Lionis" said Lonion.

"Why would we be?" I asked Lonion.

"Or else I will kill your wife" reasoned Lonion.

Then Kenya gasped and I calmed her down. I told her to take a few deep breaths and I said some reassureing words and then she was fine.

Give me some time to think about it" I said.

"Fine. I will give you two days to decide. After the two days are up, you give me your answer. If you have an answer, I kill your wife."

"OK" I say.

I think very hard about this when I'm watching the plains or when I'm sleeping.

And then I decide that I'd be not at war with Lonion, but Kenya dies, but I feel it's the right choice for my kingdom.

Chapter 7: A Wise Choice

Two days later

"I've decided" I said. "I''m not at war with you."

"All right" says Lonion. "Then Kenya dies."

"No!" cried Kenya.

Suddenly, Lonion slashed and clawed at Kenya, and soon my wife was dead, but I was calm about it and knew what was right.

"So you were brave enough to let Kenya die and to even watch her die" said Lonion.

"Yes I was, but to avoid fighting of two kingdoms" I told Lonion.

"A very wise choice, I have to said, Lionis" comments Lonion.

"I know" I say.

Then Lonion leaves my kingdom and everything is the way it was before, but the only thing that's changed is my wife.

Chapter 8: No Kenya

I'm going crazy without Kenya.

No Kenya at dinnertime, no Kenya hunting for food for the two of us, so no Kenya in my life anymore.

I always cry when I think about Kenya, all the happy memories we've had together--all gone.

I should have thought better about the choice I've made, because I'm missing Kenya and I wish I could go back in time and fix this mess.

Then I thought of something: maybe I should kill Lonion, since he was the one that made me do such a thing.

He's the one that should be punished. I'm going to kill him. I am going to kill Lonion, my old enemy.

Chapter 9: Lionis's Next Target

I went to Lonion's kingdom and the same two lions that were with Lonion when he entered my kingdom were guarding the entrance to the kingdom.

I said I was Lionis, ruler of Loios, and I wanted to see Lonion, their ruler.

They let me in, and they walked with me to the palace of Lonion and then they left the palace with only me and Lonion.

Lonion wanted to know why I was here, but before he could move, I slashed and clawed at his skin and soon he was dead.

Then I wiped the blood off my claws and smeared it on a wall and then I ran as fast as I could out of the kingdom.

Then I wanted Leopario dead: He was always special and had so many talents Mom and Dad adored and I never was special to Mom and Dad, unlike Leopario and I just want Leopario. He's my next target.

Chapter 10: Close, but No Cigar

No luck in killing Leopario.

I thought I could kill him like I did with Lonion, but Leopario blocked all the moves I did to kill him.

I was amazed that he blocked all the moves I did to kill him because I've never see him do so well at fighting, but he probably practiced and practiced when I was not looking.

Maybe he was just lucky today besides, nobody can win win every battle, but I will finish him off, I know, but luck may change.

I was so close to killing Leopario, and I so knew I could kill him and be the special one for Mom and Dad and all my kin, but I failed but I'll kill him next time.

This is going to get very complicated the next time we meet. No more Mister Nice Guy.

Leopario's lucky that I didn't kill that time.

Close, but no cigar.

Chapter 11: The Ruler Killed

I'm Leopario, cousin and killer of Lionis, ruler of Loios.

Anyway, let me tell my story about the second fight, the one when I killed Lionis, and you'll know everything about what happened.

"Leopario" said Lionis

"Yes, Lionis?" I asked.

"Let's fight again" said Lionis.

"It's about the death of Kenya, right. You miss her." I say.

"Yes. You killed her!" shouted Lionis.

"No, Lionis. You're blaming your anger on me, even though I didn't kill her" said Leopario.

"And after you kill me, you're going to kill your people, right?" I asked Lionis.

"Yes" I heard Lionis say.

"And I'm going to kill you this time!" yells Lionis.

He jumps on me and claws my skin, but I get him off me and we switch places this time.

He gets out of my trap, and we fight for a long time, slashing each other, dodging attacks, lot of blood on us, but eventually, I pin Lionis down to the ground as hard as I can, not letting go. Lionis can't escape.

"Sorry Lionis, but if you kill your people, hundreds of lives, I will kill you right now if nesscessary. I'm sorry, Lionis, but I won't let hundreds of lions die."

"Is this what you want to do, kill hundreds of lions because you think they killed Kenya?" I ask. "Is this what you want to do?"

Lionis nodds.

"Well, I'm sorry Lionis, but this is what I must do."

I claw at his skin, blood gushing out of his body, and I do this for a long time, but soon he's dead. My cousin.

"I'm sorry, Lionis. You chose the wrong path and you followed it and were going to kill hundreds of lions. I'm sorry, Lionis. I'm very sorry."

And that's my story.

Epliogue

Six months later, I became ruler of Loios, but I changed the name Sienna, after my wife.

We raised four cubs: three girls and one boy, and are a happy family together, playing fun lion games together in the evenings, running in the warm sun in the summers and laughing with each other, joy speading around the family.

Being ruler is a tough job, but after a while, it's gets easier and easier to do, and I enjoy it, watching familes together, seeing the females hunting for foods, watching the plains for predators, the same things Lionis did when he was ruler.

Dawn

"To George, another friend I have."

-M.N

Dawn

Part One

Chapter 1: Dawn

I'm Dawn's dad, and we had Dawn for two years now and she's growing up, playing with her friends, living life to the fullest as a fox.

She was named Dawn from her great-great grandmother, Dawn and it's means "first light" and that's what Dawn's like: a ball of energy that our family first sees. Our first light.

Chapter 2: Noise

Suddenly, I heard a loud "Thomp" and I told Dawn to come back to the hole, which is our home.

Dawn came back quickly and we hid in the hole, all of us as still as boards and when we thought it was safe, we got out of the hole and we saw that many animals were out of their homes to see if it was safe and I saw that some of the animals were trying to see what made the noise.

I saw the fox minister of the forest talking to some of the other animal ministers about the what they think might be the noise.

"Hi" I said.

"Hello, Foxglove" replied the fox minister.

"Hello" said the squirrel minister.

"Do you know what might have made the boom?" asked the fox minister.

"No, but my family will let you know if hear anything about it or even find what made that sound" I replied back to the fox minister.

"Thank you for the help, Foxglove. You're most kind."

"Same to you too, sir" I answered back.

"Bye" said the fox minister.

"Bye" I replied.

Chapter 3: Humans

The next morning

The fox minister and other animal ministers found out what made the noise thanks to a family of chipmunks who told the ministers that the tree they were living in fell down.

"What might of made the tree fall down?" asked the fox minister.

"I don't know" replied the mother chipmunk. "It happened so fast, I didn't see and the rest of my family didn't see either."

"Why didn't your family come right away to me or any of the other animal ministers?" the fox minister.

"Some of my family was hurt and it took a long time to get to the animal ministers or you" answered the mother chipmunk.

"I see" answered the fox minister. "Thank you for helping us."

"Most welcome" replied the mother chipmunk.

"We still don't know who made the tree fall over" said the fox minister.

"Yes" answered the squirrel minister. "

Suddenly the chipmunk minister raced to the chipmunk family and then the mother chipmunk saw the fox minister.

"Yes?" asked the mother chipmunk.

"I wanted to ask you where the tree fell over" asked the fox minister.

"Follow me" replied the mother chipmunk.

They followed the chipmunk family to where the tree fell and made the noise.

"Thank you again" thanked the fox minister to the mother chipmunk.

"Welcome"

The fox minister turned to the other ministers and asked what might have made the tree fall down.

"Maybe a bear because they eat roots and tree have roots" predicted the squirrel minister.

"A beaver because they use their teeth to go though bark" guessed the chipmunk  minister.

"Good, good" commented the fox minister.

"Humans with chainsaws said the mother chipmunk. I remember now. Humans with chainsaws ripping the bark and then the "thomp" sound."

"Thank you once again, mother chipmunk" thanked the fox minister.

Chapter 4: Going to the Humans

"Hello, fox minister" I greeted the minister.

"Hello, Foxglove" replied the fox minister.

"I see that you and the animal ministers of the forest are going to the city to talk to the humans about the tree" I stated.

"Yes" answered the fox minister. " I just thought of something. Would you like to come with us and even talk to the humans? No one's ever talked to a human before."

"How long will the trip be?" I asked.

"Three, four weeks" said the fox minister.

"OK, I agree to go to the trip to talk to the humans" I agreed. "When do we go?"

"In three days" replied the fox minister.

"All right" I replied. "I'll see you in three days."

"See you, too" answered the fox minister.

"Bye"

"Bye"

Then I raced across the forest and went in the hole to tell Rachel, my wife, alone.

Chapter 5: Surprised

As I told Rachel about the trip to talk to the humans about the tree problem, she had a look of surprise on her face and I wondered why Rachel was surprise, but then the answer sparked inside my head: Dawn.

When Dawn was little, if I would go out of the house without her and she was alone with Rachel, like when I went hunting, she would cry.

But Dawn's not a little fox any more, she's knows better than not to sweat over little things, but I wouldn't be surprised to see her a little bit disappointed, because it's a month, but not begging at my feet not to go talk to the humans.

"I know, Rachel. Bye" I said.

I sat at the dinner table (which is just two stump tops and some pieces of woods so we don't have to bend our heads so much) and ate our dinner.

I noticed that Dawn wasn't talking like as usual and after dinner, I asked her what was the problem.

Dawn said that she was disappointed that I was going away from the forest to talk to the humans and Dawn said that Rachel had told her the whole story.

Then she cried softly on my shoulder and I gently patted her and Dawn took a few deep breaths and then she stopped crying and went away.

I stormed to Rachel.

"Why did you tell Dawn that I'm going away? I demanded. She just cried on my shoulder."

"Dawn needs to know. It's a big thing" answered Rachel.

"But why did she cry?" I asked.
"Because you've never been out of the forest before and it's a long time to be away" Rachel replied.

"I guess so, but Dawn's a big girl now and-" I said but got cut off by Rachel.

"I know, but it's the first time Dawn's got this kind of thing" said Rachel.

"But Dawn's got three more days with me" I answered.

"Good thing about that" Rachel replied.

"Yes" I said.

"Bye" I spoke again.

"Bye" replied Rachel.

Chapter 6: Leaving the Forest and Family Today

Three days later

I left the forest today with the animal ministers and the fox minister.

We said our goodbyes and then I left with the animal ministers like I said before.

I left because I hate being and living in one place for ever and I wanted to see the world, look at places I dreamed of and maybe even find a home that my family can live in.

It's gets boring when you stay in one place for a long time and that's why I want to go with the animal ministers.

Right now, it's 4:00 PM, and we've stopped for a break and I'm hunting and I just got some caterpillars and then I caught some more prey and that's when stopped hunting and waited for the fox minister to soon stop the break and travel some more and that's what he did.

Then at 5:00 PM, it was the last stop of the day and that's when all of us are going to sleep because tomorrow, we're going to travel early in the morning.

I wonder how Dawn and Rachel are doing right now because tomorrow morning, I'm not going to see my first light and my wife.

Part Two

Chapter 7: Going For Dad

One week later

It's been one week since Dad has left for his trip to talk to the humans with the animal ministers and Dad hasn't returned yet, and I don't know when Dad's going to return and I'm worried about him.

I've never experienced a week or even a day without Dad, and I'm missing him very much and Mom is too.

In the first few days when Dad was gone, I was thinking why Dad went on the trip to meet the humans.

Maybe he went because he wanted to get away from us for a little bit because he got a bit tired of us, like a one man vacation.

Or maybe he wanted to leave us for ever but I don't think so.

Maybe Dad wanted to see the world outside the forest because I heard him talking to Mom a few times about how he wanted to see the world outside the forest.

Then I finally decided what to do: I wanted to go to Dad to tell him to come back home because I was worried and I care for him: I'm going to find Dad.

Before I left, I wrote a note and left it in the living room and it said:

I'm leaving to find Dad. Don't follow me.

 -Dawn

And then I left to find Dad.

Chapter 8: The Journey to Dad

It was 8:00 PM and it was starting to get dark.

I'm half-way out of the forest after running for three hours and I started at 4:00 PM but one hour because of dinner.

It was OK progress today but Dad's got a week head start, so it's going to be hard to catch up to him and the animal ministers.

The next morning, I woke up and started running.

When it was around lunchtime, I was almost out of the forest and since it was lunchtime, I caught some prey from the forest and I ate.

Then I left the forest and saw a forest and I saw another forest near the forest that I left and I ran it it and kept running.

Later, I caught some food from this forest and I ate.

After I ate, I ran some more and then I stopped a little bit later and I slept and dreamed for the night.

Chapter 9: Closer

The trip was said to be about four weeks long and we've been traveling for about one week and two days.

I asked the fox minister when we'll reach the humans and he said this week for sure.

The trip's been really boring because we're travel and stop, travel and stop, but it's a bit interesting because I get to see new things outside the forest I lived in my whole life.

Right now I'm finishing eating my prey, but suddenly we were starting to travel and I finished eating quickly and then I went along with the others.

Later we stopped for the last time and then I went to sleep.

Part Three

Chapter 10: New Assignment

I was chasing a rabbit and I knew I would catch it.

It looks like I'm hunting, but I'm not, really. I'm doing something else.

I work for a group of foxes that send Folxel (that's me) and Foxoth on assignments and they give us a home.

The rabbit I was chasing was for the group of foxes and of course, I had Foxoth chasing with me by my side.

Suddenly I skidded on the ground, making myself in front of the rabbit and with Foxoth behind me, we trapped the rabbit.

We went to the foxes base, which wasn't far from here and we showed them the rabbit.

"Very good said the leader of the group. Very good.  I have a new assignment for you too."

"What's the person we're going after?" I asked.

"Dawn" answered the leader. She's going to her father for some reason and her father is with all the animal ministers of the forest."

"This is big because we can catch all of them at once but I want you two to kill Dawn because she's to her father and her father's with the animal ministers and if Dawn reaches to her father in time, not only do we lose Dawn, but we lose all the ministers because they know about us and I was hoping they'd forget about us by now because we haven't attacked or done anything to their forest for a long time. Don't worry about when you get to the ministers part. We've got that part covered.

"Go, Folxel and Foxoth."

"Where is Dawn?" I asked.

"Near you." "Go north and you'll find her."

Then we left the leader and ran to find Dawn.

Chapter 11: Feeling Dad

Each day, I feel closer and closer to Dad when I travel.

I sometimes see paw marks when I ran and I makes me feel closer to Dad each time I see the marks.

The last time I saw paw marks was three days ago, but even without looking at the paw marks, I feel closer to him.

That feeling when you see the marks feels good, it feels warm inside you and it makes
you want to run farther and farther. I love that feeling.

When I run or if I have moments when I miss Dad, I always think of happy thoughts of me and Dad going hunting or when we played together in the summer days when the sun was setting.

I remember the first day I went hunting.

I was with Dad and I was ambushing a rabbit and suddenly I lunged, but I missed the rabbit but I didn't give up.

I chased the rabbit around the forest and I suddenly cornered it behind a tree and killed the rabbit.

I ran from where I was and showed Dad.

He smiled at me and then we went back to the hole and I showed Mom and she was happy too.

I miss these days.

I was thinking about all the good thoughts I knew about Dad but suddenly I woke up from my thoughts and ran.

Chapter 12: A New Challenge

After a day of searching for Dawn, I was surprised that we didn't find her because she's still small and should be easy to find, but a day isn't very long.

I was still disappointed about this when we ate dinner and later when I was sleeping, I forgot all about it, but still, Dawn was going to a new challenge. I like challages.

The next morning me and Foxoth woke up and starting running and later we went hunting and ate.

Then we ran for a little while and relaxed and we went hunting ate our dinner and then we went to sleep early so we can wake up early tomorrow to find my challenge.

Chapter 13: The Calling

Two days later

Suddenly I heard a voice from the trees. It sounded like "Dad, Dad!"

Everybody heard it come from the woods and I asked the fox minister if I could see where the noise was coming from in the trees and he said yes.

I ran to the woods and started looking for where in the forest the noise had came from, but it must of been deep in the trees because I searched in the not so deep part of the woods and no luck.

I told the others to come to search with me because it was in the deeper part of the woods and being in a group is good and suddenly I heard a noise like a roar and then a  yelp.

We dashed to where the noise was and it was easy to find because it wasn't far from here.

Suddenly before my eyes was Dawn, full of blood gushing from her body, her eyes still blinking, so she was still alive, but barely. And beside her were two foxes, their claws full of blood.

Chapter 14: A Third Fox and A Whole Army of Foxes

"Dawn," I sobbed.  "No."

Suddenly I heard a whole stampade of feet and when I looked up to see where the noise had came from, a saw a whole army of foxes.

Then a broad looking fox came in front of all of the foxes and spoke to all of the ministers and me.

"All of you are prisoners right now and thanks to the fox minister, we have all of the animal minsters of your forest instead of all of you individually" said the broad fox.

"Fox minister," I said weakly. "How could you?"

"I'm sorry, Foxglove."

"We're are not prisoners" I said proudly with confidence.

"Yes you all are" said the broad fox.

"We'll fight for freedom, then" I answered back.

"Done."

Chapter 15: Heroes of the Battle

Suddenly the battle started and we fought against each other.

The foxes obviously had training because they were beating us by the minute and we never had any of that.

The battle went on and the foxes were very close to winning and I was calling out sparks of encouragement to the ministers and to myself, and they were both helping a little bit, but not much.

Suddenly I called most of the ministers to come to me and the others that I didn't call were fighting to buy us time so I could explain my plan.

I started talking about the plan and soon I was finished speaking and then we went back to fighting.

A small group of minsters went to left side of the battle and another to the right.

I was with the group on the right side and suddenly my plan was coming to life as we were fighting the foxes.

Then the left side of the foxes broke and soon the right smashed, too, and then the minsters that were the defense finished the battle off by breaking the foxes at the center of the battle.

We had the broad fox trapped and also the fox that tricked us into going to the humans, the fake fox minister because the real one was trapped somewhere in our forest and the two other foxes that killed Dawn who said that names were Folxel and Foxoth.

I saw Rachel in the forest, which was odd because I don't remember calling Rachel to come to me.

Rachel said she came because of Dawn's note and she said that Dawn said she was going to find Dad and not to follow her, but she followed Dawn and didn't reach Dawn before she died.

After we were all were ready to go back to our home back in the forest where we started, we walked and I noticed that Rachel was carrying Dawn with her mouth and I told her that Dawn would decay and flys with surround her and eat her up.

Then Rachel put Dawn down and dug a hole and put her inside the ground and then dropped the dirt in the hole to cover the hole up and then we walked together and we talked, already forgetting about Dawn as time pasted.

Epliogue

Two months after the journey, Rachel had a litter of three and we named them Sunlight, Hunter, and Moons.

Sunlight is a gentle and sweet girl and is like Dawn, and that's why I named her Sunlight, because sunlight is like dawn.

Hunter is a rough boy fox, but loves to bond with me when we go hunting and is like Dawn because Dawn used to bond with me.

And Moons is gentle like Sunlight, but very shy around others and Moons eyes look like moons, very big.

He also reminds me of moonlight, too.

Our three are growing up to be big strong foxes and I've learned never to do the same thing I did when I had Dawn. Never, or same thing will happen again.
